Message from the Conference Director By: Conference Organising Committee (COC) Director - Audrey Valle Dear JCI friends,Throughout the world, the name of Monaco fascinates and makes you dream, thanks to the many legendary images which it brings to mind, such as its Royal Family, its casino, its luxury hotels, its yachts floating in the glimmering Mediterranean Sea and its Formula 1 Grand Prix. At the 2011 European Conference in Tarragona, Monte-Carlo was elected as the host city of the 2013 European Conference. Since this election, the Conference Organising Committee has been working hard to set up a memorable event and we are now proud to welcome you on this conference website. While you consult these pages, you will discover our small country and the event that we are organising for you. Travel tips, accommodation, transport, the programme, contact details and sightseeing: you will find all the essential practical information to start planning your stay and to make your trip to Monte-Carlo an absolutely unforgettable experience which will make your dreams come true! By taking part in the 2013 European Conference, you will have the opportunity to enjoy all the world-famous glamour that the Principality can offer. But Monaco, despite being one of the smallest states in the world, is also a firmly forward-looking country with a dynamic and diversified economy. The topic of our conference, “Think Future!” will showcase the innovations in the Principality and all over Europe that will make society move forward, thanks to the actions of young active citizens. “Think Future, Think out of the box!” and you will discover how such a small country can organize such a large event, how a mere organisation committee can bring together large international delegations from the four corners of the continent and how such a small area can welcome the whole of Europe! We therefore look forward to seeing you in the Principality of Monaco from 29 May to 1 June 2013, just three days after the Formula 1 Grand Prix. Welcome to the European Conference 2013, Welcome to Monte-Carlo!   For more information please see the website http://www.jci-ec2013.com
